The story of 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐚 𝐎𝐝𝐚𝐧 is a household folklore in Gujarat. Legend says, an apsara cursed by a rishi is born on earth and is married to a man in a nomadic tribe. The local king was captivated by Jasma’s beauty and tries to pursue her. What follows is a story of Jasma’s love for her husband, against the lust of the evil king. The play is presented in 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢, a several hundred year old folk theater style.
